Photo Dump!

Hello! It has been a while since I've posted some new pictures, so get ready for a dump! Baylen is now four and a half months old! Being Baylen's mom continues to be such a joy. He is an incredibly happy boy, smiling anytime I look at him. He is starting to get a pretty hearty giggle too, which is absolutely contagious!

The weather has been pretty mild lately, so we've enjoyed walks outside!

We've been going to playgroup on Tuesdays...this is Baylen and his friend Remy.

This is what I get to look at when Baylen wakes up from his naps!

Hanging out in the exersaucer after church!

Helping Daddy with a renovation project! Baylen loves his jumper. He'll want to stay in there for 45 minutes to an hour!

His new thing is that he likes to stare at us. Whenever we are holding him, he now turns his head to look at us. Melts our heart!

Last Friday we got to meet Jenna for lunch!

More staring!

He now rolls onto his side by himself!

When we were in Minneapolis a few weekends ago, we got to meet Max, Ashley's son! For more photos from our Minneapolis trip, visit Mommy's blog!

Mommy and Baylen!

Last night we went shopping for new suits for Jake and we got to work with our favorite salesman, Darcel. He has some awesome one liners!

Lastly, we have a YouTube channel that you're welcome to check out. We're always posting short videos of what Baylen's up to.

Hope you're having a great Tuesday!

Weekend In the North Woods

This weekend we went up to visit Jake's parents in Eagle River, WI. We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving, so we were finally able to celebrate Christmas together.

Before we left for Wisconsin, Baylen had his 4 month doctor appointment. He was being quite the flirt with Dr. Flanagan.  By the way, we absolutely LOVE Baylen's pediatrician. She is absolutely wonderful, and always answers our questions with such sincerity and care. She is perfect for a first time mom!

Baylen continues to pack on the pounds. He is a whopping 15lb. 15oz, which puts him in the 72nd percentile. He is 25.5 inches tall, which puts him in the 72nd percentile there too. He had to get more vaccines, which was hard for me to watch again, but he handled them like a champ and only cried for a few seconds.

Warm Days and Crock Pot Meals

Our week has been pretty laid back and uneventful. Although we think Baylen may have begun the first stage of teething. Drooling all over has resulted in him wearing a bib for a good portion of each day, and he will put anything he can in his mouth, his fingers being his favorite.

We've also learned that lately he isn't much of a napper. We've tried many attempts and strategies, but right now our little guy loves his catnaps. :)

Baylen and I have also been trying to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having as much as possible, so we've been doing some crock pot cooking to keep time in the kitchen to a minimum. In the crockpot for tonight are Enchiladas!

A few shots from the week:

Hope your Thursday is going well!

Amber and Baylen's Trip to Iowa

Last week Jake had to travel to Atlanta on business, so Baylen and I flew to Iowa to spend the week with at my parents' farm. Baylen did great on the plane ride, handled it like a pro. Here are some pictures to sum up our week.

Grandma and Baylen read some stories together. During this one, Baylen fell fast asleep.

Uncle Jason was also home because he took J-term off, so we got to spend lots of time with him too! Baylen and Jas even watched football together!

Soon to be Aunt Ali was also there! Baylen LOVES her!

And Grandpa came in early a couple afternoons to spend extra time with Baylen too!

He's starting to like tummy time more!

We went over to my Uncle Rob and Aunt Heather's house one night for prime rib. Uncle Rob is amazing at grilling/smoking meat, so it was such a treat!

The finished product...Uncle Rob is going to make prime rib for Jason and Ali's rehearsal dinner, so we got to do some taste testing. BEST. PRIME RIB. EVER.

More story time

He is big enough to go in the exersaucer now!

And he tried his hand at the piano

Love naps with my little bud.

Baylen got to meet Uncle Glen and Aunt Jan!

And we visiting Great Grandma Hofmeyer!

And we spent time at Grandpa and Grandma Kiel's house too!

Hanging out with Grandpa

By the end of the week, he certainly had the hang of it in there!

And finally we are back home with Daddy!

A photo after church yesterday.

Thanks to everyone in Iowa who made our trip such a JOY!
